The five factors
Where the amount comes from
Two businesses with the same number of pages can receive very different quotes. This is why.

Size
The number of pages, and above all how many of them genuinely differ. Ten pages with the same structure are less work than four pages that each have to do something different.

Functionality
A contact form is standard. Online booking, an application form with conditions or a members area are not. Every function brings build and test work with it.

Integrations
Does the site need to talk to your bookkeeping, calendar, stock system or till? Then the price depends on how well that system allows connection. We find that out in advance, not halfway.

Languages
A second language does not double the price, but it does raise it: the copy has to be written and everything has to be checked twice. See multilingual website.

What you supply yourself
Having copy, imagery and a visual identity saves work. If we have to write, source imagery or design a logo, that is added. This is the factor you influence most.
Arrangements
How we agree on price
- A fixed amount per project, no reckoning afterwards
- The quote states what is included and what you supply
- Twenty percent on approval, eighty percent only on completion

About the price
What if my wish does not fit a package?
Then we make a bespoke proposal. The packages cover the most common situations; if yours differs, we work that into a fixed amount agreed in advance. Never an invoice calculated after the fact.
Why a fixed amount and not an hourly rate?
With an hourly rate you carry the risk of how long we take. With a fixed amount that risk sits with us, where it belongs. You know the cost in advance and it does not change halfway.
What if I want to add something during the build?
Then we discuss what that means for price and schedule, and only then do we build it. You will not find an item on the invoice afterwards that you did not agree to.
Is hosting included in the price?
No. Hosting and maintenance are an ongoing service and are offered separately. That is deliberate: a one-off amount for something that runs monthly is unclear for both parties.
