What we do
Five things, ongoing
Hosting is offered separately and is not automatically included in the one-off price of a website.

Hosting
Your website runs on a fast, secured environment with a valid certificate. We arrange it, and you get one invoice instead of three.

Backups
Automatic and with a retention period, so there is something to restore if anything goes wrong. A backup that has never been tested is not a backup.

Security updates
Continuously keeping current everything that runs under the bonnet. The vast majority of hacked websites are sites where updates sat untouched for years.

Small changes
A new price, an extra service, different opening times, another team member. You email what needs changing and we put it online.

Domain management
The domain is registered in your company's name. We keep an eye on the renewal so it does not lapse by accident.
Also for websites we did not build
If you have a site that is well put together but nobody maintaining it, we can take over. We look at the technology first: if the site is well built, we take on hosting and maintenance.
If it is not, we say so and explain why starting again is cheaper in the long run than continuing to repair. See website redesign.
What it is not

About maintenance
Am I then tied to you?
The terms for duration and cancellation are set out in the quote and the order confirmation. The principle is that you can leave: the domain is in your name and we cooperate with an orderly handover to whoever you choose.
How quickly are changes made?
Small text and image changes usually within the same week. If something is urgent, such as changed opening times around a holiday, just call.
What happens if the site goes down?
We restore it, from the last backup if necessary. You do not have to work out whether it is the hosting, the domain or the build: with us that is the same party.
