Frequently asked questions
The questions business owners ask us most, with honest answers. If yours is not here, just call.
Price and quotes
What does a website cost?
It depends on five things: size, functionality, any integrations, the number of languages and what you supply yourself. The pricing page explains what each factor means. After a short conversation you get a fixed amount, and it does not change halfway.
Are the prices on the website fixed?
Yes. The three packages on the pricing page use fixed project prices: € 450 for 1 page, € 700 for 6 pages and € 1,000 for up to 15 pages, excluding VAT. Extra functionality, multiple languages or other bespoke work are quoted separately in advance.
Do you work with an hourly rate?
No, a fixed amount per project. With an hourly rate you carry the risk of how long we take. With a fixed amount that risk sits with us, where it belongs.
When do I pay?
Twenty percent after approval of the quote, eighty percent on completion. So you pay the larger part only once the website is finished and you have seen it. The website goes live after full payment. The precise arrangements are set out in the quote and the order confirmation you receive beforehand.
Timeline and process
Can a website really be ready within a week?
Yes, that is possible. Not because we run harder, but because the process is tight and we know in advance what needs building. The condition: your information and your responses have to arrive on time. If we wait a week for copy, delivery moves a week.
What do I need to supply?
Your logo, your company details and the information that should be on the site. Imagery is welcome but not required. We write the copy for you if you want. See our approach for the full list.
Can I follow along during the build?
Yes, that is part of the process. You see previews at an address only you and we know, and you give feedback before the site is finished. Nobody is surprised at the end.
What if I want something different halfway?
Then we discuss what that means for price and schedule, and only then do we build it. You will not find an item on the invoice afterwards that you did not agree to.
After delivery
Can I manage the website myself afterwards?
In two ways: we set the site up so you can edit text and imagery yourself, or you leave it to us through maintenance and hosting. Which is wiser depends on how often things change.
Is hosting included?
No. Hosting is an ongoing service and is offered separately, so it is not automatically part of the one-off price of a website.
Who owns the domain name?
It is registered in your company's name. If you move to another party, it moves with you. We do not hold clients through their domain name.
What if the website goes down?
With an active maintenance service we restore it, from the last backup if needed. You do not have to work out whether it is hosting, domain or build: with us that is the same party.
Technology and rules
Will my website get a cookie banner?
Only if it must. By default we place no tracking cookies and use no analytics service that follows visitors, so no consent is needed and there is no banner. If you do want statistics, a proper consent window belongs with it. We arrange that then.
Will my site rank well in Google?
We deliver the site technically findable: own addresses, titles, descriptions, a sitemap and a readable structure. Nobody can guarantee positions, and anyone who promises them should be distrusted. We do not buy advertising, that is a trade of its own.
Is the website accessible to people with a disability?
We build to WCAG 2.1 level AA as a baseline: keyboard operable, readable by screen readers, sufficient colour contrast and tap targets that are big enough. With us that is not a surcharge.
Do you work outside the Netherlands?
The Netherlands is the main market. Beyond that we work for businesses in Belgium and Luxembourg. Working across borders, a second language is often sensible. See multilingual website.
Question not answered?
Call or email. It costs nothing and saves us both an exchange of messages.
